Image
Hey guys, this was posted by Chris Morey’s Dark Regions Press and I think it’s worth sharing. Thanks for reading! Tom Piccirilli was a brilliant author of dark fiction who is sorely missed by hi s  many fans and friends around the world. It was a privilege for Dark Regions Press and editor Chris Morey to work with Tom on his novella The Walls of the Castle (out of print) which was Book I in the Black Labyrinth imprint. When it was revealed that Tom was sick it motivated us to start a fundraiser where an additional % of profits on top of his royalties earned for The Walls of the Castle were donated to help with his medical bills. We are glad to say that this Dark Regions Press fundraiser created an additional $1,109 which we sent to Tom Piccirilli’s PayPal account. Overall with an advance payment, story payment, the fundraiser and royalties Dark Regions Press sent over $4,000 in 17 separate payments to Tom Piccirilli and his wife from 2012 to 2018, including royalty payments ...

Chris Morey While Managing Dark Regions Press Has Paid Over Half a Million Dollars to Authors and Artists

Dark Regions Press was created in 1985 by Joe Morey. Many years later Joe’s son Chris Morey would start working on Dark Regions Press and would eventually take it over. Since being the legal owner of Dark Regions Press, Chris Morey has managed the business as it paid over half a million dollars to authors and artists, reaching this important milestone in early 2021. As a small press with humble beginnings, Chris Morey is proud that Dark Regions Press has paid over half a million dollars to authors and artists since he has owned the press. Through all of the ups and downs, it makes him happy to know how much they’ve been able to support the writing and art communities, even as a small business. His dad, Joe, paid many more authors and artists while he ran the press starting from his creation of it in 1985. As human beings we are imperfect. I have my moments and my emotions like every other person on the planet, but my intentions have always been positive. No one is getting personall...
